Sandy Kolman
Growing up in Miami, FL, Sandy took to the outdoors early on -- from searching for minnows, snakes, and alligators knee-deep in brackish canals as a youngun to afternoons after school spent on the beach as a teen. Upon moving to NC in 1993, she sadly had to buy her very first winter coat, but has slowly but surely made the adjustment from water skiing to snow. She travels whenever she can, and has trekked through most of the United States, as well as Europe, where she lived in Spain for a summer and attempted to rediscover the Spanish she had forgotten from her youth. After receiving a BA in History and Philosophy from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she spent several years in Washington, DC, working for The Princeton Review. She lives in Charlotte and looks forward to returning to school for an MFA in Creative Writing.
