Woodstock Itinerary

Suggested itinerary for a long weekend:

Day One

After breakfast at your inn or B&B, head to the Maplefields to pack a picnic lunch for your hike to Dupuis Hill on the Appalachian Trail. Enjoy lunch and the views from this high, rock-strewn meadow, then descend and drive to Silver Lake State Park for a refreshing swim and to relax in the sun. Return to Woodstock to stroll along and shop, before returning to your inn to prepare for dinner at the Jackson House Inn.

Day Two
After an early breakfast at your inn, head to the village of Randolph and the Three Mountain Inn to rent a mountain bike and spend the morning exploring the trails of the White River Valley Association. Return to Woodstock, grab a bite to eat at Woodstock Farmer's Market and head for a tour to the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. Afterward, drive to South Woodstock for a trail ride at the Kedron Valley Stables and have a drink and dinner afterward at the Kedron Valley Inn.

Day Three
After breakfast at your inn, pick up the copy of the Woodstock Walking Guide pamphlet and explore the history of the many fine homes and buildings in town. When hunger builds, stop in the elegant Woodstock Inn to have brunch. Finally, hike up either 1,250-foot Mount Tom or 1,060-foot Mount Peg in Woodstock to work off the meal and take in your final view of Woodstock above before leaving for home.
